There are two methods of creating ‘local’ metrics. Subscribers can create an individual metric type via a simple web based interface, or, if you wish to create a large number of metric types simultaneously you can do this via a CSV upload. For further assistance please contact support@esd.org.uk
Creating a single metric type
Select the “add metric types” tab on the left side of the screen, then click on the “define a metric type” button. Fill out the on-screen form for your metric type, using the “?” help text icons for any guidance at each step. Once you have finished filling out the form click the “save” button. Following save, you will be given the option to add another metric type or start adding metric values to your new metric type. For further assistance, please contact support@esd.org.uk.
Bulk creation of new metric types
To upload more than one new metric type at once, select the “add metric types” tab on the left side of the screen, then click on the “upload multiple metric types” button. Choose the “download a template” link, and save the resulting CSV file to your computer. Open that file in Excel (or equivalent), then use the guidance on the page to fill out the file. Take care to match the values you add to the CSV to the ones provided on the page or your upload will fail. Once you have added a row for each metric type you would like to define, save the CSV and then upload it. You will receive a notification as soon as your metric types have been uploaded and saved to the system. For further assistance, please contact support@esd.org.uk.
